MSN Calendar Integration
The MSN 9 release required the integration of the MSN Calendar with Hotmail. The challenge was to coordinate two different groups of engineers and integrate the resulting new software into the MSN product line. Some legacy interfaces were redesigned to support this integration.
Many MSN Hotmail and Calendar interfaces had been in-place since the original product line start-up. These interfaces, originally designed by engineers, included Boolean phrased and if-then drop down menus. I worked closely with both Hotmail and Calendar engineers to prototype new designs and improve functionality. The resulting interfaces organized information into a user-friendly recurrence pattern through primary and secondary tasks and translated Boolean phrases.
